KME’s Excel was built with valuable input from the fire service mechanics. It was designed for easy access to maintenance areas and was carefully configured to be user-friendly. Excel benefits include door side impact tubes, excellent front corner visibility, and an electrical wiring system that is cleaner and easily serviceable. The cab also features an ergonomically designed custom molded interior and an optional shortened engine enclosure for improved rear crew seating.
 

RENEGADE

The original KME Renegade offers the same dash gauge package and wiring systems as the Excel, but with different raised roof options and the choice of a contour or square tilt cab style. The Renegade is also popular as an aerial chassis and the 12” raised roof can also be extended over the driver and officer if desired.

PANTHER

KME’s Panther chassis offers departments the room, flexibility and dependability of a custom chassis at a commercial chassis price. The Panther is designed and manufactured by KME to the high standards set by our industry leading Excel chassis, utilizing the same rugged materials, heavy duty construction and organized electrical systems.

PROWLER

The Prowler cab is built specifically for the AerialCat rearmount ladder and platform line of products. It is a low profile, cab forward, full tilt design and like KME chassis, it accepts the full range of engines and transmissions available to the fire service. The Prowler offers several important features to our AerialCat customers including reduced travel height and cab roof pods that extend over both the driver and officer. With windows in both, there is increased safety and visibility to avoid obstructions when positioning the ladder.
 

FIXED CABS

The KME FireFox and FireHawk are the ideal fixed cabs. They offer low entry and low overall height for stations with height restrictions. The forward section of the cab offers excellent driver and officer comfort and a notched raised roof as an option.
