KME offers a full line of elliptical tankers ranging from
the simple water hauler with no pump, to the fully loaded
up tanker with a full pump, preconnects, and hose storage
areas. The elliptical tankers are broken down into two
basic product groups including the “LE” series tanker for
the budget conscious, and the “LX” series for the full
array of “bells and whistles”.
KME’s Elliptical tankers
are designed to carry any water capacity, ranging from
1000 gallons up to 4000+ gallons, in the safest means
possible. All tanks and apparatus are designed to exceed
NFPA 1901 requirements, keeping the safety of your
firefighters as our top priority. Elliptical tanks
utilize baffle designs that ensure safe operations when
driving with empty, full, or partial loads, while still
providing rapid dumping/filling capabilities. KME is
proud to offer the widest range of options for dumps,
compartmentation, and exterior storage, in the industry.
- Tanks are available in
Stainless Steel, Poly, or Fiberglass materials.
- Stainless steel tanks
are available in single wall style with a brushed or
painted finish, or double wall with a mirror finish
skin.
- Poly tanks are available
in a bare poly finish, painted finish, or mirror finish
wrap.
- Fiberglass tanks are
available with a plain fiberglass finish, color injected
fiberglass finish, painted finish, or mirror finish
wrap.
- Configurations range
from 1000 gallons to 4000+ gallons with specialized tank
capacities available upon request.
- “LE” series bodies
feature one compartment each side, forward of the rear
axle.
- Single axle “LE” series
available up to 2300 gallons, tandem axles available up
to 4000+ gallons.
- “LX” series bodies
feature one compartment each side behind the rear axle,
and one or two compartments forward of the axle,
dependant on the gallonage.
- Single axle “LX” series
available up to 2000 gallons, tandem axles available up
to 4000+ gallons.
- Both “LE” and “LX”
series tanker feature an accessory compartment on the
rear of the apparatus beneath the dump chute.
- Dumps available in 10”
square configuration, or 8”/10”/12” round
configurations. Custom sized round dumps available
large than 12” upon request.
- Dumps can be located on
the rear of the tank and/or off both sides, forward of
the rear axle, behind the rear axle, or between the
tandem axles.
- Suction storage
available enclosed on the compartment caps, exposed on
the compartment caps in standard troughs, or attached to
other device racks.
- Portable tank storage
available enclosed on compartment cap or in a hinged
storage rack (electric or manual).
